, September 18, 2017.  Mike Corridon, CPA and CFO of Strato, Inc
. will speak to the chapter on the The On-Going Feedback Loop:  How Accounting Supports Production and Academia and Vice-Versa.   This talk will discuss how an accountat was able to leverage his finance training to provide value in production and academia as well as the not-so-obvious ways each can benefit the other.
        As a member of Strato’s senior executive team since joining the Company in 2005, Mike is currently responsible for all: finance, accounting, taxation and risk management activities.  He also serves as the executive in charge of the Company’s manufacturing operations, a role he took on in 2009.   During his tenure at Strato Mike has also led Customer Service, Human Resources & Information Technology.
        In addition, since 1999 Mike has served as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers Business School (RBS).  At RBS he leads teams of MBA students through real world consulting projects.  His teams’ clients have included Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, government entities and not-for-profit organizations.
        Mike earned a BS in Accounting in 1984 from Saint Peter’s College and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers Business School in 1996.   Mike is also a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in New Jersey.  He has been recognized by NJBIZ magazine as a CFO of the year Finalist for Best Turnaround Manager in 2011 and the Winner as Best Growth Manager in 2013.  Mike is currently an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and serves as a Board Member & of the New Jersey chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI).

        Our speaker is Marty Latman, Executive Director of Latman Advisory Services LLC.  Latman Advisory Services provides consulting services to organizations to help them increase their profitability, career counseling services to professionals who want to advance their careers, and helps individuals who are currently in transition to get back into the work force.
        Marty is called by some people as "The Best Networker They Know."  Marty is the chairman of the Bergen Chapter of Financial Executive Network Group (FENG), which he created in March 2002 with 29 members. He grew the membership within this chapter to over 5,000 members. Since its inception, FENG-Bergen Chapter has successfully helped more than 1,650 of its members find gainful employment. Additionally, he is the chairman of NJ Strategic Executive Networking Group (NJSENG) and a member of over 20 other career networking groups. He was the IMA 2004 New Jersey Financial Executive of the Year and the 2009 NJBIZ CFO of the Year.
        Possessing a skill set that combines finance, business development, operations and administration management, information technology, logistics and manufacturing, Marty has been successful in organizing start-up companies, turning around organizations, improving product margins, and setting strategic company direction. He has also worked in both public and private accounting. His experience is predominantly with emerging and middle market employers that make up the vast majority of companies. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey and is currently the CFO for a mid-sized distributing organization in Pearl River, NY. Previously, he was the CFO at the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.
        Marty has been a guest speaker to many networking groups where he has discussed various career development topics including networking, interviewing techniques and advance career planning strategies. He has spoken at Financial Executive International (FEI), Financial Planning Association of NJ (FPANJ), Media Communication Association – International (MCA-I), Career Networking Group (CNG) and others.
