Leon C. VanHorn III, CPA, is a Partner in the Life Sciences Industry practice at E&Y. He has over 15 years of experience serving the global and domestic life sciences, pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical services and biotechnology industries. Lee also served as EY’s Life Sciences National Partner Advisor in New York.
His experiences include financial statement auditing, SEC reporting, acquisitions and divestitures, debt and equity offerings, initial public offerings, dealing with technical accounting and auditing matters, financial statement restatements, and internal control evaluations. He serves both public and private companies of various sizes, including global and multinational companies. He has been recognized as an EY National Instructor Excellence Program top instructor
He graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and received his Master of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. He is a CPA licensed in New Jersey and New York and is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants.
Chuck Sgammato, CPA is a senior manager in EY’s Assurance practice with nine years of experience in auditing, primarily in the manufacturing and life sciences industries.
Experience includes SEC reporting including Form 10-Q reporting, Form 10-K reporting, initial public offerings, and filing of registration statements and significant acquisitions. He serves both public and private companies of various sizes, including global and multinational companies. Chuck also serves as an audit analytics champion supporting audit engagement teams and has been involved in the roll-out of the analytics-based audit approach in the Northeast Region.
Chuck has extensive knowledge of our firm’s suite of analytics tools, RPA and implementations strategies to streamline the EY audit approach.
He graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Management Information Systems). He is a CPA licensed in New Jersey and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants
