To my Colleagues in the Morris-Essex Chapter of the IMA:
Welcome to our 2018-2019 Chapter year for the Morris-Essex Chapter of the IMA!
This year, our board is dedicated to bring you quality speakers that also offer you CPE credits. Our new dinner meeting location, the Grove in Randolph (aka the Randolph Diner) offers us a nice variety of food, and convenient rooms ideal for networking. Our technical meetings are on the second, third, or fourth Tuesday or Thursday of each month from September through May.
Let me tell you a little bit about my experience. I have been an IMA member for 34 years and have served as President of the Morris-Essex chapter from 2017 to 2019 years as well as the Waterbury, CT chapter in 1991. The IMA has been a big part of my professional life, too. It has helped improve businesses I have worked for such as Implementation Specialists for Healthcare, General Signal, Combustion Engineering, and Paramount Pictures.
IMA can help you also. Become Certified as a CMA. Our chapter is dedicating resources to get the local colleges to recognize the IMA and encourage the CMA path. Seton Hall, Montclair State, Kean, Caldwell, NJIT, Centenary and Rutgers are just a few that have been and will be approached during the Chapter year. Also, local businesses will be invited to encourage their financial personnel to participate with their employees’ CMA advancement and to join our speaking engagements with the colleges.
Take a look at the IMA website and join the IMA Linked In group. In addition, there will be webinars offered by IMA Global.
Come to the Annual Convention in June 2019 in San Diego. Great Networking Guaranteed!
We do need your help to make Morris Essex stronger. It does not have to be a time consuming task as we would love to participant in community service projects and have our retired folks share their knowledge and experience in other events. Please let a member of the board know of your interest.
I look forward to serving as your Chapter president and hopefully meeting you at a technical session in the coming year.
2017-2018 Morris-Essex Chapter President
